Our associates are an integral part of our team culture. We believe in nurturing a supportive and caring environment that focuses on the well-being of our associates and their families. This culture is further strengthened through our partnership with BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, which underscores our commitment to promoting a healthy and engaged workforce. We offer associates a comprehensive health insurance package and Fortified Health Security makes a significant contribution toward the cost of associate coverage, health reimbursement accounts, and health savings accounts. Additional employer paid benefits are basic life and AD&D insurance, short term disability, and long term disability. We continue to round out our benefits offerings with dental, vision, accident and critical illness insurance, legal assistance, identity theft, and telemedicine. Please review your plan documents for full details.
New Hire Enrollment
Welcome to our team! As a new associate, you’re eligible for coverage on your first day of employment if hired on the first day of the month. If hired after the first day of the month, you are eligible for coverage on the first of the following month. You must enroll yourself and your eligible dependents in benefits within 30 days of your hire date. If you do not enroll during this period, you will not have an opportunity to enroll in benefits again until annual enrollment or if you experience a qualifying life event.
Annual Enrollment
Annual enrollment is your opportunity to review your benefits and make changes for the next plan year. You can add, change, or decline coverage and add or drop eligible family members during this time. For the upcoming plan year, Annual Enrollment will be held in November for a January 1, 2026, effective date.
Changing Benefits Mid-Year
Once you make your elections, you won’t be able to change them until the next annual enrollment, unless you experience a qualifying life event. Examples of qualifying events include a change in:
You must make changes to your benefits within 30 days of your qualifying life event. If you miss the deadline, you will have to wait until the next annual enrollment unless you experience a qualifying life event.

Basic Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance
Life insurance is an important part of your financial well-being, especially if others depend on you for support. Fortified Health Security automatically provides a benefit of 1 times your annual salary (up to $300,000), at no cost to you. You must be actively working a minimum of 30 hours per week to be eligible for coverage.
Associate Voluntary Life and AD&D Insurance
You’re eligible to purchase additional life insurance in increments of $10,000, but no more than 5 times your annual salary up to a maximum benefit of $500,000. As a new hire, you’re able to purchase up to $150,000 of guaranteed issue coverage without providing EOI. You have the same coverage options for voluntary AD&D insurance.
Spouse and Dependent Voluntary Life and AD&D Insurance
If you elect voluntary life coverage for yourself, you can also elect voluntary life coverage for your spouse in increments of $5,000 up to a maximum of $250,000 or 100% of your benefit. You can elect up to $25,000 of guaranteed issue coverage for your spouse when you are newly hired. Any change at annual enrollment going forward will be subject to EOI. Dependent child life coverage is available with a minimum benefit of $2,000, in increments of $1,000, up to a maximum of $10,000. You must elect coverage for yourself in order to elect for your dependents. All voluntary life coverage for children is guaranteed issue.
The company provides short term disability (STD) insurance to replace a portion of your income until you get back on your feet and return to work. The plan covers 60% of your pre-disability earnings up to a $2,500 weekly benefit maximum for up to 13 weeks. There is a 7-day waiting period for illnesses, but coverage for an accident will begin immediately.
The company provides long term disability (LTD) insurance to replace a portion of your income in the event you’re unable to work for an extended period. The plan covers 60% of your pre-disability earnings. The maximum benefit of coverage is $10,000 monthly.
Fortified Health Security adds money to your account:
In addition to this automatic contribution, Fortified will also match any contribution you make at $0.25 per $1 up to an additional $450 for individuals and $900 for those in family coverage.
Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) allow you to set aside pre-tax dollars from your paycheck to cover qualified expenses you would normally pay out of your pocket. We offer two types of FSAs.
Limited Healthcare FSA
The limited healthcare FSA is similar to a traditional healthcare FSA, but it only covers dental and vision services. The maximum contribution for 2026 is $3,400. You can choose this option if you are enrolled in an HDHP and open an HSA.
Dependent Care FSA
The dependent care FSA helps you pay for dependent care. You can contribute up to $7,500 (or $3,750 if married and filing separately) per plan year. Your account works like a debit card; you need to accumulate the funds before you can use them.
Runout and Roll over Funds
Your Flexible Spending Account “run-out” period refers to a period of time in the new plan year during which you can file claims for expenses incurred during the previous plan year. Through Fortified Health Security you have 90 days after the beginning of the plan year to file your claims. Additionally, if you participate in an FSA, $680 can roll over to the next plan year. Unused funds exceeding $680 will be forfeited. The carryover provision does not reduce how much you can contribute to the FSA in the next plan year. For example, if you carry over $680, you can still make the maximum contribution, mandated by the IRS, in the next year. The rollover does not apply to the DCFSA. Visit irs.gov for more information.
